Wichita, KS – Mid Kansas Auto Auction (MKSAA) celebrated the auction's 2nd anniversary with a promotional event that offered nearly 700 vehicles and over 60% sold on November 12th. “This was an all-time record for the auction,” Trevor Ottley, Owner/General Manager commented, “We had more than 474 registered dealers in attendance for the sale both in lane and online.”
The auction, which was started by Mark Ottley, also gave away more than $5,000.00 in cash and prizes to the dealers. Mark Ottley, Owner and President of Mid Kansas Auto Auction commented, “This was such an exciting day for us. Seeing all the hard work come together for such a great event for our dealers makes it all worth it.”
Ottley started MKSAA in Hays, KS in 2005. Ottley decided to move the auction to Wichita in 2017 and purchased the current location. MKSAA completed a $2,000,000 renovation that included a state-of-the-art reconditioning facility, which includes mechanic bays and 2 detail lanes, as well as 6 total sale lanes. The Ottley family recently announced the next generation coming in to take over the business operations. Trevor Ottley has joined the ownership team as General Manager and is responsible for the day-to-day operations. Trevor, having the same entrepreneurial spirit as his father, has run several of the family businesses before coming to the auction.
“I was especially proud of our staff” commented Trevor. “Though we have many new faces, and many are new to the auction industry they have showed up every day the last year with relentless work ethic and a willingness to take on any challenge. They always find a way to get it done and do it the right way. I feel grateful to work alongside them and am excited to watch them continue to master their trade in the coming year.”
